Yes, I know. I am awesome. I have said this so many times you probably find yourself thinking, quite often actually, “Ok Lisa. Yes, it’s true you are awesome. But HOW are you awesome? Can you please show me?” Well, the answer you’ve been waiting for is here: YES. I can, and I will.
It’s true I used to be very much involved in Hollywood and music videos, among many other Very Cool Things. As a Really Really Cool Person, it’s very important to stay involved in Very Cool Things. This video will show you that I did indeed just that: I was involved.
If you look closely, you will see my acting skills at the :52 mark and again at the 1:53 mark, because one shot of me wearing a fast food employee uniform shirt with hamburgers on it and a maroon visor was obviously not enough of me on the screen for my fans, so the Black Eyed Peas demanded I be shown again. They knew what was really going on. They used to anyway, this was before Fergie.
I also cast everyone in this video, as well as having my hand involved in helping with the wardrobe. Like I said, when you’re in Hollywood, and you’re Really Really Cool like I was, you have to stay involved. And I did. As a matter of fact, I was involved in everything. Literally.
The best part about this video though is not me in it (I know, I know. “Lies!” you say), but that we shot it at Bellvue Mental Hospital in New York on an old abandoned floor that hadn’t been occupied in years. Mental patients were just wandering around, checking out the scene. In fact, there was a really good looking, Really Really Cool looking guy with awesome Adidas on and camouflage cargo pants with a sweatband, like the Sudanese Rapper BANGS, who I thought I had cast in the video. He was just cruising around. It took me 2 hours to figure out that he was just a Really Really Cool Mental Patient that was wandering around the hospital and who also happened to be smiling a lot.
Of course I still tried to get him in the video and get him his Big Hollywood Break, as I had done for actresses Lake Bell and Dania Ramirez, but unfortunately there are some people in Hollywood, namely in legal departments, that just don’t get it. Even from me, formerly Big Time Hollywood Casting Director Lisa Roth. Boo!
