Hey Sam,
I’m sure you got this message also. What a deal!! Aren’t you so glad you support the arts in LA? By giving money, you get to be on a list that then invites you to spend more money to rub shoulders with people! Its so cool. For $2500 you could buy some fantastic art from new artists who are pushing the envelope of personal expression and make a real contribution to the art world, or you could continue to get hit up for CASH every once and a while so that you can feel like you are making a non-profit contribution. Seriously, how are these large art museums non-profit? what a scam. If this was a for-profit business, it would be a scam.

I am excited to announce that MOCA is releasing an additional limited number of Silver level tables ($25,000 each) and tickets ($2,500 each) for the MOCA NEW 30th Anniversary Gala. As you may know, Silver tables and tickets sold out during our pre-sale period this past summer; however, we just received approval this week from the City of Los Angeles to increase the guest capacity in the tent of the MOCA NEW Gala, giving you the wonderful opportunity to participate in this one-of-a-kind evening as a Silver donor.
The MOCA NEW 30th Anniversary Gala will be the central attraction of a weekend of festivities commemorating the founding of The Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles (MOCA)—one of the world’s finest institutions of contemporary art. Held on Grand Avenue on Saturday, November 14, 2009, MOCA’s gala will present Ballets Russes Italian Style (The Shortest Musical You Will Never See Again), a commissioned work by international artist Francesco Vezzoli, featuringLady Gaga and dancers from the Bolshoí Ballet.
To purchase your tickets today, please return the attached pledge form via fax to (213) 617-6964 or email [email protected]
We hope you will join us for this monumental celebration that will prove to be the art event of the year!
Warmest regards,
Jennifer
